Second Half Run Helps Warriors to Beat Men's Basketball
(Lansing, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's basketball team trailed by only three points at halftime, but a big run by the Indiana Tech Warriors helped the visitors to a WHAC victory in Gannon Gymnasium Tuesday evening.
Indiana Tech held a lead for most of the first half, but some timely shooting helped the Cougars keep it close, as Cleary only trailed 36-33 at the halftime break. The Cougars came out strong in the second half, taking a 41-39 lead, but the Warriors quickly retook that lead, and surged past Cleary, finishing the game on a 43-21 run to secure an 82-62 victory.
Bennie Crenshaw Jr. posted a game and season high 21 points to go with 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Chris Williams added 10 points and 4 rebounds. Case Conley and Nick Moore were perfect from the field, with Conley tallying 8 points and Moore 7 in the effort.
Cleary drops to 0-5 overall, 0-2 in the WHAC. After a Thanksgiving break, the Cougars will be back at Gannon Gymnasium next Tuesday to take on the Aquinas College Saints in a WHAC matchup. The game is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
