Indoor Track & Field Concludes Season at WHAC Championships

(Grand Rapids, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar indoor track & field teams both competed in the WHAC Championships hosted by Aquinas College in Grand Rapids this weekend.

In the Men's Meet:

• Isaac McComb finished 3rd in the flight 1 weight throw finals, with a distance of 9.99 M
• Isaac McComb also finished 7th in his 60 M preliminary heat with a time of 7.49
• Ethan Beres finished 13th in the 5000 M with a time o 16:33.40
• Isaac McComb finished in 5th in his flight in the shot put, with a distance of 12.70 M

As a team, the Cougars finished in 8th place

In the Women's Meet:

• Mikaela Casey finished 12th in the flight 2 shot put finals, with a distance of 10.89 M
• Lauren Gores finished 13th in the 5000 M with a time of 20:57.28
• Mikaela Casey finished in 9th in the weight throw with a distance of 10.36 M
• Lauren Gores finished in 6th in her flight of the 1 mile run, with a time of 6:23.98
• K'Neil Dawkins and Georgia Price finished in 5th and 6th in their section in the 400 M with times of 1:12.40 and 1:18.30 respectively
• Dawkins also finished with the fastest time in her heat of the 200 M with a time of 29.84

As a team, the Cougars finished in 9th place.  

Both teams will now look to outdoor track & field, which begins next month.
