Bio

Coach James Frank is in his fourth season as the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field coach.  In his first recruiting class (2020), Coach Frank had a male athlete qualify for the NAIA Outdoor National Track & Field Championships.  In his second recruiting class he had a female athlete qualify for the NAIA National Cross Country Championships.  Coach Frank already has a male athlete qualified for the 2022 NAIA National Outdoor Track & Field Championships (Marathon).  Coach Frank anticipates at least two more athletes qualifying.

Frank previously coached at St. Clair County Community College (SC4) where he led both the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams to the school’s first ever Invitational victories. In addition, he recruited the first Men’s Cross Country team to qualify for the National Championship meet as well as the first two females to individually qualify for the National Championship meet.

Frank also coached at Rochester University where he saw the first female athlete in school history to score at the WHAC Outdoor Championship meet. He also coached the female discus school record holder.

Coach Frank is a USATF Level 1 certified coach, a USATF Cross Country Specialist, and USTFCCCA Endurance specialist certified.
