Bio

Joe Friedli, MD is a Family Medicine and Primary Care Sports Medicine physician.

Dr. Friedli graduated from Michigan State University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in physiology. He went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2020. He completed residency in Family Medicine at Corewell Health East-Wayne Hospital from 2020-2023 and pursued additional training through a Sports Medicine fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital from 2023-2024. As part of his fellowship, he gained experience working with athletes at the high school, collegiate, and professional level, including coverage for Oakland University, Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons, and Detroit Tigers. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine.

Dr. Friedli treats patients and athletes of all ages and abilities and is a core faculty member at Trinity Health Livingston Family Medicine Residency in Brighton, Michigan. He lives outside Ann Arbor with his wife Megan, daughter Liza, and dog Calvin, and he is excited to join the Cleary University Sports Medicine team!
