Esports' Overwatch 2 Claims GLEC Championship

(Canton, OH)-- The Cleary Cougar Overwatch 2 team continued to show their dominance, as they won their second trophy in as many weeks this past weekend at the Hall of Fame Village in Canton.  

The Cougars qualified as the #1 seed in the final tournament, and outlasted the like of Albion, Cleveland State, Bethel, Tiffin, Ohio Northern, Saint Xavier, and Valparaiso en route to the championship.

The tournament championship qualifies the team for the CECC National Tournament, hosted in Texas May.  

The Cougars also racked up GLEC All-Conference recognition, with Nathan "Pancake" Debol and Flynn "Flynn" Murray being named First-Team All-Conference, while Zachary "Redegade" Richmond, Henry "velly" Fuchs, and Elijah "Smackes" Recinos were named Second-Team All-Conference.  Flynn "Flynn" Murray was also named the Overwatch 2 league MVP.
