(Spring Arbor, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's basketball team dug themselves into a deficit too great to overcome, as they fell on the road to the Spring Arbor Cougars 78-58 Saturday afternoon.
The hosts would build a ten point halftime lead, and built a 28 point lead in the second half before Cleary narrowed the gap to twenty points.
Chris Williams was the only Cleary player to reach double figures, as he scored 13 points to go with 4 rebounds. Jaylen Cole-Williams added 9 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals. Nick Moore and AJ Hess each added 7 points off the bench, while Tim Kewley led the team with 7 rebounds in the game.
Cleary shot 35% from the floor, and just 26% from three point range. Cleary did force 16 turnovers in the game, while only committing 8 themselves.
The Cougars are now 0-3 on the season, and will be back in action next Wednesday, November 15, when they travel to Big Rapids to take on NCAA D2 Ferris State in an exhibition matchup. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM ET.
