Dulz Wins Final AHBA Tournament; Lewis Earns Top-10 Finish
(Sandusky, OH)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's bowling teams both competed in their final AHBA regular season meet of the year, and saw a historic performance from a Cleary Cougar.
In the Women's Tournament:
- Samantha Dulz won the tournament, after bowling a four-game series of 871. She bowled games of 192, 234, 221, and 224 to post an average of 217.75. This is the first time a Cleary bowler has ever finished in first place in a tournament.
- Jamie Crandell had a strong showing of her own, as she finished in 15th, with a four-game series of 677.
- Carman McMahon finished in 19th after bowling a four-game series of 650.
- Leigha Rue would bowl a four-game series of 631 to finish in 22nd.
- Erica Pyden rounded out the Cougar scores, with a four-game series of 587, finishing in 27th.
As a team, Cleary finished in 4th place with a total of 6,012 pins knocked down.
In the Men's Tournament:
- Alexander Lewis earned a top-10 finish, bowling a four-game series of 843 to finish in 8th place.
- Zachary DeLong finished in 23rd after bowling an 803 series.
- Sawyer Pillen finished in 43rd after bowling a 748 series.
- Corey Goldsmith would bowl a 528 series, and finished in 75th.
As a team, Cleary finished in 8th place, after bowling 6,344 pins.
Both teams will be back in action this Saturday, February 4, when they participate in the final WHAC jamboree of the year at Miracle Lanes in Toledo, Ohio. The action is scheduled to get underway at 9:00 AM.
