Bowling Opens 2023-24 Season at Concordia Dirty Bird Classic

(Jackson, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's bowling team hit the road to Jackson to bowl in the Dirty Bird Classic, hosted by Concordia on Saturday.
In the Men's Meet:
- Ethan Parker bowled a three game series of 152, 251, 156 to finish in 22nd
- Finishing in 40th was Justin Perdue, who bowled a 210, 180, 127 series
- Corey Goldsmith and Trevor Cockerill each bowled two games, and finished in 86th and 87th respectively
- Zachary DeLong also bowled two games, and finished in 99th
The meet's final four games were Baker games. As a team, Cleary bowled 5,828, and finished in 9th place.
In the Women's Meet:
- Hailee Hale led the Cougars with a 3-game series of 138, 194, 283 to finish in 17th
- Leigha Rue bowled a 235, 155, 116 series, and finished in 23rd
- Sam Dulz finished in 38th, and bowled a 162, 146, 166 series
- Amy Jackson threw games of 146, 152, 156, and finished in 46th
- Jamie Crandell and Erica Pyden split the final three games for the Cougars.
The meet's final four games were Baker games. As a team, Cleary bowled 5,564, and finished in 8th place.
The two teams will be back in action next Saturday, September 30, when they bowl in the Rochester Warrior Classic at Richfield Bowl in Flint.
