Bowling Teams Compete at Midwest Collegiate Classic
(Milwaukee, WI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's bowling teams competed in one of the largest tournaments in the Midwest, as they bowled in the Midwest Collegiate Championship this past weekend in greater Milwaukee.
In the Men's Meet:
- Zachary DeLong led the Cougars with a five game series of 156-216-171-164-158 to finish in 159th
- Justin de Bont bowled games of 188-174-169-157-121, and finished in 173rd
- Finishing in 196th was Hunter Blackhurst, who bolwed games of 159-223-211-152
- Corey Goldsmith bowled a 163-141-185-213 series
- Justin Perdue had games of 175-153-160-203
As a team, Cleary knocked down 5,118 pins, and finished in 39th place out of 47 teams.
In the Women's Meet:
- Samantha Dulz finished in 14th place, out of 270 bowlers, after having a six-game series of 198-178-149-244-214-198 to knock down a total of 1,181 pins, and averaged 196.8
- Amy Jackson finished in 72nd, after bowling games of 167-151-188-243-161-148 to knock down 1,051 pins
- Hailee Hale finished in 86th, with games of 174-142-170-201-183-146, knocking down 1,016 pins
- After bowling games of 162-169-143-197-203, Leigha Rue finished in 124th
- Courtney Witten bowled games of 130-138-182-156 to finish in 166th
As a team, Cleary knocked down 5,190 pins to finish in 26th place out of 35 teams.
The bowling teams will be back in action this Saturday and Sunday when they make the trip to Indianapolis to bowl in the C300 Western Shootout.
