Bowling Has Strong Showing at Roto Grip Raider Classic
(Beavercreek, OH)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's bowling teams were in Beavercreek, Ohio Saturday and Sunday to bowl in the Roto Grip Raider Classic, hosted by Wright State University.
In the Men's Tournament:
- Ryan Ching led the Cougars with a 24th place finish, after bowling a five-game series of 124-253-184-193-207
- Not too far behind was Howie Hammond, who bowled a five-game series of 216-195-222-176-234, to finish in 27th
- Justin Perdue bowled a five-game series of 224-205-234-181-162, and finished in 45th
- Bowling games of 205-193-182-221-179 was Hunter Blackhurst, who finished in 51st
- Ethan Parker would bowl games of 190-225-201-172, and finished in 95th
As a team, Cleary knocked down 8,232 pins, and finished in 8th place out of 20 teams
In the Women's Tournament:
- Hailee Hale finished in 15th place, with a five-game series of 183-160-204-171-236
- Samantha Dulz bowled a five-game series of 198-165-151-193-188, and finished in 32nd
- Bowling games of 167-144-176-217-171 was Olivia Solomon, who finished in 43rd
- Finishing in 47th was Courtney Witten, who bowled games of 161-162-159-171-204
- Brianna Swickard would bowl in three games, and had scores of 173-156-158
- Michelle Scopone bowled in two games, and had scores of 213-168
As a team, Cleary knocked down 7,248 pins, and finished in 8th place out of 17 teams
The Cougars will have a mini break, as they won't be in action again until after Thanksgiving, when they bowl in the WHAC #3 at 5 Star Lanes in Sterling Heights on December 7.
