Bowling Has Strong Showing in First of Two Tournaments in Las Vegas

(Las Vegas, NV)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's bowling teams were in Las Vegas for the Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invite on Wednesday and Thursday, and the two teams had a strong showing in a field that featured a combined 93 teams. Each team would bowl eight games over two days to total their scores.
In the Men's Tournament:
- Justin Perdue was the high scorer for the Cougars, with games of 202-148-192-191-192-245-212-156 to total 1538 pins knocked down, to earn 75th place
- Finishing in 95th place was Xander Finkbeiner, who bowled games of 175-180-211-202-181-195-190-171 for 1505 pins
- Ryan Ching would bowl games of 142-158-198-186-194-180-174 to finish in 123rd
- Coming in 347th was AJ Clark, who bowled in five games, with scores of 182-161-183-168-135
As a team, Cleary knocked down 7,122 pins and finished in 43rd place overall
In the Women's Tournament:
- Hailee Hale earned a 53rd place finish with games of 229-151-200-191-170-201-162-190 to total 1,494 pins
- Earning a 61st place finish was Sam Dulz, who bowled games of 183-166-171-179-146-202-224-191
- Bowling games of 160-135-203-133-230-147-215-150 was Courtney Witten, who finished in 95th
- Michelle Scopone would take home 97th after bowling games of 199-174-204-140-163-147-179-156
- Finishing in 114th was Olivia Solomon, who bowled games of 123-135-174-146-192-172-182-186
As a team, Cleary knocked down 7,001 pins and finished in 21st place overall.
