Men's Bowling Earns Third Place Finish at Scotty Classic

(Jackson, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's bowling team was in action Saturday at the Scotty Classic at JAX60 in Jackson, Michigan.
- Howie Hammond finished in 5th place with a three-game series of 164-235-268 to total 667 pins, and was named to the All-Tournament Team
- Teammate Ethan Parker was one pin behind with a 666 total, and games of 201-196-269 to finish in 6th place
- RJ Brahmer was entered in the reserves tournament, but finished 20th overall with games of 214-233-188, and was named to the JV All-Tournament Team
- Bowling games of 248-193-184 was Justin Perdue, who finished in 21st
- Jacob Chouinard was entered in the reserves tournament, and finished in 33rd with games of 215-190-183, and was named to the JV All-Tournament Team
- Bowling games of 227-215-146 was Xander Finkbeiner, who finished in 34th
- Alex Ryan bowled games of 183-176-188 for the reserves team, and finished in 45th
- Finishing in 48th was Reis Stine with games of 177-194-158, and was entered in the reserves tournament
- Bowling games of 159-155-159 was Hunter Blackhurst, and he finished in 66th overall after being entered with the reserves team
As a team, Cleary knocked down 5,460 pins to earn a third place finish. This was the highest team finish for the men's team this season. The reserves team knocked down 4,838 pins, and finished in 2nd place, just twelve pins out of first place.
The Cleary men will be back in action on Saturday, February 22, when they bowl in the WHAC Championships at JAX60.
