WHAC Announces Bowling Awards; Hale, Hammond, and Dann Recognized
(Howell, MI)-- The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced it's 2024-25 season awards, and multiple men's and women's bowlers have been recognized.
Hailee Hale made Cleary history as the first bowler, men's or women's, to ever be named to the WHAC's First-Team All-Conference team. Hale bowled in twelve WHAC jamboree games and finished with a 194.08 average.
Howie Hammond made history for the men, as he was named to the WHAC's Second-Team All-Conference Team. Hammond bowled in 11 WHAC jambore games, and finished with a 198.50 average.
Corey Goldsmith was named as Cleary's men's representative to the Champion of Character team, and Courtney Witten was named as Cleary's women's representative to the Champion of Character teams, for best representing the five core character values of the NAIA. Also recognized was head coach Hayley Dann, who was named as the men's bowling Champion of Character Coach of the Year as voted on by her peers. It was the second consecutive year Coach Dann was recognized as the Champion of Character coach.
Also recognized were student-athletes who were named to the All-Academic Team. To be honored, student-athletes must have had at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA and have attended Cleary for at least one full year. They were (in alphabetical order):

Awards will be presented to the recipients from all teams at Saturday's WHAC Championship meet at JAX60 in Jackson, Michigan.
