(Augusta, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar Men's Golf team hit the links for the first time in over a week as they traveled to Stoatin Brae Golf Club in Augusta, Michigan for the WHAC Fall Preview. The men would finish the first day in 6th place but unfortunately, drop to 8th place after the second day. They finished with a team stroke score of 914, just two strokes behind Lourdes University and Siena Heights University who tied for 6th place. 

  • Axel Houdaille led the Cougars with round scores of 71, 73, and 72 to tie for 5th place overall. 

  • Basile Malempre finished tied for 20th overall after posting round scores of 77, 74, and 76.

  • Johnny Fackler ended the two-day tournament with round scores of 80, 76, and 78 to place 41st overall. 

  • Kaden Patterson tied for 47th overall with round scores of 79, 81, and 77. 

  • Seth Sherry finished in 70th place overall after posting round scores of 85, 86, and 85. 

The Men's Golf team will continue their season next week as they host the Cleary Cougar Invite on Monday, October 7, 2024. It will take place at Oak Pointe Country Club in Brighton, Michigan. Tee time is set for 10:30 AM.
