(Fort Wayne, IN)-- The Cleary Cougar men's soccer team took on the first place team in the WHAC for the second straight game, but were unable to win their second straight, as the Indiana Tech Warriors proved to be too much Wednesday evening in Ft. Wayne.
The Warriors scored twice in the first 26 minutes of the first half, and then twice again in a 13 minute window in the second half to take the game by a 4-0 scoreline.
Austin Freemire made 4 saves in the game while taking the loss in goal. Cleary was outshot 18-5, 8-3 on goal, in the game. The Warriors held a 4-3 advantage on corner kicks, while Cleary had 14 fouls called to Indiana Tech's 11.
Cleary drops to 5-7-3 overall, 2-4-2 in the WHAC. The Cougars will hit the road on Saturday, as they take on the Aquinas Saints in a WHAC matchup. Kickoff is set for 3:00 PM ET.
