Indoor Track & Field Opens 2024-25 Season at SVSU Holiday Open

(University Center, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's indoor track & field teams were on the campus of Saginaw Valley State University Friday evening, as they participated in the SVSU Holiday Open.

In the Men's Meet:

Jacob Chouinard, Rodrick Campbell, and Matthew Booth all ran in the 60M, and ran times of 7.66, 7.80, and 7.92 respectively
Rodrick Campbell would take 65th in the 200M with a time of 27.20
In the 800M, Donovan White ran a 2:02.74 to finish in 22nd. Camden Staples finished in 32nd with a time of 2:09.74. Mason Wildie finished in 39th, Preston Mackenzie finished in 41st, Logan Betke finished in 42nd, and Devin Mackenzie finished in 44th to round out the event.
Hunter Anderson would run a 5:00.48 in the 1 Mile, while Joel Hartleb ran a 5:01.44
In the 3000M, Ethan Beres would run a 9:45.57 to finish in 14th. Ethan Lewis finished in 25th with a 10:36.15
In the long jump, Jacob Chouinard jumped 5.81M to finish in 20th. Rodrick Campbell jumped 5.44 and finished in 27th
Noah Simpson threw the shot put 13.16M and finished in 15th. Jacob Haley threw 9.80M to finish in 44th
In the weight throw, Noah Simpson threw 14.12M to finish in 21st. Logan Rogers finished in 29th, and Jacob Haley finished in 46th

In the Women's Meet:

In the 800M, Mckenna Marsh ran a 2:32.10 to finish in 8th, while Kiera Smith ran a 3:22.65 to finish in 27th
Lauren Gores took home 3rd in the 3000M with a time of 10:53.87
Lily Daugard threw the shot put 11.29M and finished in 14th
In the weight throw, Lily Daugard threw 13.44M to finish in 17th. Carlee Beeney finished in 30th with a throw of 12.03M, and Amelia Jason threw 8.63M to finish in 47th.

Both teams will be back in action again in January.
