Men's and Women's Track & Field Kicked Off 2025 at John Flaminio Classic

(Grand Rapids, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's track & field teams were in action on Saturday, as they ran in the John Flaminio Classic on the campus of Aquinas College.
In the Men's Meet:
- Rodrick Campbell finished in 17th place in the 60M Dash, with a time of 7.77
- In the 400M, Devin Mackenzie would run a 1:08.61 to finish in 13th
- Donovan White won the 800M with a time of 2:08.26. Preston Mackenzie would earn a 5th place finish with a time of 2:23.73, while Devin Mackenzie and Logan Betke finished in 8th and 9th respectively
- Hunter Anderson would finish in 21st in the 1Mile with a time of 5:16.35. Logan Betke finished in 29th
- In the 3000M, Joel Hartleb set a personal record with a time of 10:04.85 to finish in 9th. Ethan Beres was eight seconds back with a time of 10:12.95 to finish in 10th
- Rodrick Campbell claimed a 3rd place finish in the long jump, with a jump of 5.79M
- In the weight throw, Logan Rogers threw 12.10M to finish in 11th, while Derrick Murray threw 10.03 to finish in 14th
As a team, Cleary would finish in 5th place
In the Women's Meet:
- Kiera Smith earned a 7th place finish in the 800M with a time of 3:19.39
- Lauren Gores finished 2nd in the 1 Mile, after running a 5:38.79
- In the Shot Put, Lily Daugard threw 11.00M to finish in 8th place
- Earning an 18th place finish in the Weight Throw was Amelia Jason, who threw 7.59M
As a team, Cleary finished in 7th place
The two teams will have a week off before returning to action on Saturdya, January 25, when they participate in the Hillsdale Wide Track Classic
