Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Take Strides at Hillsdale Wide Track Classic

(Hillsdale, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's indoor track & field teams were back in action Saturday, as they competed in the Hillsdale Wide Track Classic on the campus of Hillsdale College.
In the Men's Meet:
- Rodrick Campbell finished in 17th in the long jump with a distance of 5.87M. Nathan Vaske finished in 24th after jumping 5.50M
- In the shot put, Logan Rogers threw 10.57M, and Derrick Murray threw 10.21M to finish in 40th and 42nd, respectively
- In the weight throw, Noah Simpson threw 13.44M to earn a 25th place finish
- Rodrick Campbell ran a 7.76 in the 60M dash to finish in 37th. Nathan Vaske ran 7.79 to finish in 39th
- In the 5000M, Ethan Lewis finished in 8th with a time of 19:15.44
- Hunter Anderson would finish in 42nd in the 1 Mile, with a time of 5:08.68
- Donovan White would claim a 32nd place finish in the 800M after running 58.38. Camden Staples ran a 59.02 to finish in 37th
- In the 800M, Donovan White ran 2:08.56 to finish in 21st. Camden Staples finished in 32nd, Ethan Beres in 36th, Hunter Anderson in 39th, Ethan Lewis in 42nd, Preston Mackenzie in 43rd, and Logan Betke and Devin Mackenzie in 46th and 47th
- The 4x400M relay team of Donovan White, Preston Mackenzie, Hunter Anderson, and Camden Staples ran a teim of 3:55.44 to finish in 10th
As a team, Cleary finished with 3 team points and finished in 16th place
In the Women's Meet:
- In the weight throw, Carlee Beeney thew 10.96M to finish in 26th
- Kiera Smith ran a 1:20.38 in the 400M to finish in 30th
- In the 800M, Rylie Bjorkman ran 2:56.18 to finish in 21st
Cleary did not earn any team points in the meet.
The meet featured teams from NCAA D2, NJCAA, NAIA, and NCAA D3.
Both teams will be back in action next Friday, January 31, when they compete in the WHAC vs. MIAA Challenge in Grand Rapids.
