Cougars Continue to Make Strides at Oakland Golden Grizzlies Invite

(Rochester, MI)-- The Cleary Cougars men's and women's track teams competed at the Oakland University Golden Grizzlies Invite on Friday and Saturday, and saw five personal records, and a new school record. The invite featured teams from NCAA Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, NAIA, and NJCAA.
In the Men's Meet:
- Aden Michael ran a 1:04.78 in the 400 M to finish in 25th place.
- Donovan White won his heat in the M 800, and ran a 2:03.97 to finish in 13th place overall.
- Victor Davis ran a 1:03.04 in the 400 M Hurdles to finish in 8th place, setting a new personal record in the process.
- Ethan Beres broke the school record and set a new personal record in the 5000 M, running a 16:24.73.
- Isaac McComb finished in 22nd in the discus with a throw of 25.39 M.
- Nick Floyd finished 7th in the high jump with a height of 1.85 M.
- Isaac McComb set a new personal record in the javelin, with a distance of 37.43 M to finish in 10th place.
- Nick Floyd set a new personal record in the javelin, with a distance of 35.42 M to finish in 11th place.
- Isaac McComb finished in 13th in the shot put, with a distance of 11.60 M
In the Women's Meet:
- Jillian Clark ran a 1:16.30 to finish in 19th place in the 400 M.
- Lauren Gores set a new 35 second personal record by running a 20:24.13 in the 5000 M.
- Mikaela Casey finished in 31st in the discus with a throw of 24.47 M.
- Mikaela Casey finished in 19th in the shot put, with a distance of 10.42 M, and almost set a new personal record.
Both teams will be back in action this Thursday, April 14, when they compete in the Don Kleinow Memorial Invite hosted by Siena Heights University.
