Cougars Compete at GVSU's Al Owen's Classic

(Allendale, MI)-- The Cleary Cougars competed in the Al Owen's Classic at Grand Valley State on Friday and Saturday.
In the men's meet:
- Donovan White finished in 35th in the 5000 M with a time of 16:32.39 (PR), while Ethan Beres finished in 38th with a time of 16:43.80
- Camden Staples finished in 31st in the 800 M with a time of 2:08.40. Alex Misniakiewicz ran a 2:13.22 (PR), Ethan Beres a 2:13.81, and Steven Bisard a 2:14.95.
- Victor Davis ran a 1:00.27 in the 400 M hurdles to finish in 8th place and set a new school record
- Matt Booth set a new PR in the 200 M with a time of 24.04, whileAden Michael ran a 26.25 in the 200 M, and Cole Tappan ran a 26.56.
- Nick Floyd threw the javelin 35.12 M to finish in 13th
- Isaac McComb threw the shot put 11.70 M to finish in 8th. McComb also threw the discus 27.51 M and finished in 26th and set a new PR in the process.
- Nick Floyd finished in 6th in the high jump, after clearing 1.86 M
In the women's meet:
- Lauren Gores finished in 18th in the 5000 M with a time of 19:38.72 and set a new PR
- Mikaela Casey threw the shot put 9.33 M to finish in 18th place
- Mikaela Casey threw the discus 29.45 M to finish in 20th and set a new PR
The Cougars will be back in action this Friday, April 29, when they compete in the Concordia Legacy at CUAA.
