Indoor Track & Field Opens Season at SVSU

(Saginaw, MI) — The Cleary Cougar track & fields teams opened up their indoor season at Saginaw Valley State University in the SVSU Classic.

In the Men's Meet: 

• In the men's 1 mile run, Logan Betke added a time of 5:08.65 for the team
• Finishing shortly after Betke in the 1 mile run was Joel Hartleb with a time of 5:15.79
• Anthony White competed in the 400 meter dash and finished with a time of 55.78
• In the 3000 meter run, Ethan Beres finished with a time of 9:41.62

In the Women's Meet:

• Lauren Gores placed 14th in the 1 mile run with a time of 5:33.75
• In shot put, Mikaela Casey threw 10.72 meters to take a 13th place finish in the event

The track and field teams are back in Saginaw next Friday, as they travel to compete in the Doug Hansen Open hosted by SVSU.
