Track & Field Opens Outdoor Season at Bill Bippes Cougar Classic

(Spring Arbor, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar track & field team opened up their outdoor campaign by competing at the Bill Bippes Cougar Classic hosted by Spring Arbor University.

In the Men's Meet:

• Matthew Booth finished in 10th place in the 100 M with a time of 12.18.  He also ran in the 200 M, and finished in 13th after submitting a time of 24.86.
• Christian Hammond finished in 6th in the 400 M with a time of 55.60.  Teammate Camden Staples finished in 9th with a time of 57.84.
• In the 800 M, Donovan White finished in 6th with a time of 2:11.09, while Alex Misniakiewicz finished in 15th with a 2:33.07
• In the 1500 M, Donovan White finished in 11th, while Joel Hartleb finished in 13th, Alex Miskiakiewicz in 15th, and Logan Betke in 16th.
• Ethan Beres finished in 8th in the 5000 M with a time of 16:42.34

In the Women's Meet:

• Jillian Clark finished in 9th in the 800 M after running a 3:11.39. 
• Lauren Gores won the 10,000 M with a time of 39:15.90
• Mikaela Casey finished in 9th in the shot put after throwing 34'7".
• In the discus, Amelia Jason threw 81'4" to finish in 20th.  Mikaela Casey was right behind and finished in 21st.
• Jason also threw the javelin, and finished in 11th.

There was no team score kept for the meet.
