Track & Field Competes at the Mrs. G Invitational

(Angola, IN)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's indoor track and field teams participated in the Mrs. G Invitational Friday, hosted by Trine University in Angola, Indiana.
In the Men's Meet:
- Matthew Booth set a personal record in the 60m with a time of 7.16 to finish in 8th place
- With a time of 24.92, Christian Hammond finished in 21st in the 200m
- Hammond would set a personal record in the 400m with a time of 56.10, and finished in 19th. Teammate Brayden McKay ran a 56.61 and finished in 22nd
- In the 800m, Donovan White ran a 2:06.95 to finish in 14th. Camden Staples would finish in 19th, while Ethan Beres would finish in 23rd
- Camden Staples finished in 23rd in the 1 mile, with a time of 4:55.96. Ethan Beres was right behind with a time of 4:58.47 to finish in 26th
- The 4x400m relay team of Donovan White, Brayden McKay, Joel Hartleb, and Christian Hammond finished in 8th place with a time of 3:53.37. The relay team of Alex Misniakiewicz, Matthew Booth, Devin Mackenzie, and Camden Staples finished in 9th
- Jerome Ellis and Logan Rogers finished in 19th and 20th in the shot put, with throws of 10.96m, and 10.78m respectively
- Logan Rogers would finish in 22nd in the weight throw with a distance of 10.89m
In the Women's Meet:
- In the 200m, Kaylie Bash ran a 29.52 and finished in 17th
- Bash would set a personal record in the 400m with a time of 1:09.78, and finished in 14th
- Lauren Gores would finish in 9th in the 800m after running a 2:37.67
- Gores would set a personal record in the 1 mile after running a 5:28.29 and finishing in 4th place
- In the shot put, Carlee Beeney threw a 9.47m to finish in 11th
Both teams will be back in action next Friday, February 9, when they run in the Aquinas Invitational in Grand Rapids.
