Cougars Run at CUAA Legacy Invite

(Ann Arbor, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's track & field teams were in Ann Arbor Thursday and Friday to run in the Legacy Invitational hosted by Concordia University.
In the Men's Meet:
- Camden Staples earned a 31st place finish in the 400M after running a 56.77
- Ethan Beres took 21st in the 800M with a time of 2:12.06, while Alex Misniakiewicz took 28th with a time of 2:16.83
- Ethan Beres finished in 20th in the 1500M after running a 4:27.23, while Camden Staples set a new personal record with a time of 4:39.14 to finish in 29th. Donovan White and Brayden McKay also set new personal records in the event
- Jerome Ellis finished in 11th in the shot put with a throw of 11.05M, while Logan Rogers threw 9.44M to finish in 27th, and Hunter Blackhurst finished in 30th with a throw of 7.76M
- Jerome Ellis would throw a 33.85 in the discus to finish in 20th. Logan Rogers threw a 32.29M, while Jacob Haley threw 29.27M to finish in 22nd and 25th
- Jacob Haley threw 31.59M in the javelin and finished in 14th
- Jerome Ellis set a new personal record in the hammer, with a throw of 34.85M and finished in 15th. Jacob Haley and Logan Rogers finished in 17th and 18th respectively
In the Women's Meet:
- Lauren Gores finished in 5th place in the 800M with a time of 2:34.06. Jillian Clark finished in 29th
- Gores set a new personal record in the 1500M and finished in second place after running a 5:01.90
- In the discus, Carlee Beeney trhew 33.32M and finished in 6th place
- Amelia Jason finished in 16th in the javelin with a throw of 19.66M
- Carlee Beeney and Amelia Jason finished in 21st and 22nd in the hammer, with throws of 27.61M and 22.66M respectively
The Cougars will be back in action next Thursday and Friday when they travel to Fort Wayne to participate in the WHAC Championships.
