Cougars Place 4 Runners in Top 10 at Kirtland Firebird Invitational

(Grayling, MI)-- The Cleary University men's and women's cross country teams placed four runners in the top 10, with three coming in the men's race, and one in the women's race.

In the men's race, Ethan Beres finished in 7th place overall with a time of 27:36.9, while teammates Wyatt Emmons and Donovan White were right behind with times of 27:45.2 and 27:45.7 respectively to finish in 9th and 10th.  The Cougars overall efforts were good enough to earn 4th place as a team.

In the women's race, Mallory Tognetti finished in 2nd place with a time 20:24.3, and teammate Lauren Gores finished in 15th with a time of 22:07.3.  The Cougars finished in 3rd place in the women's race.

Cleary will next be in action next Friday, October 1, when they run in the Lansing Community College Invitational.  The races will start at 12:30 and 1:15 respectively.
