Cross Country Teams Open Up 2023 Season at Olivet

(Olivet, MI)-- Cleary Univesity Men's and Women's cross country teams opened up their 2023 season by running at the Olivet Comet Open.
In the Men's Race:
- Ethan Beres led the Cougars by running a 16:40.2 to finish in 21st
- Finishing in 26th was Donovan White, who ran a 16:51.7
- Joel Hartleb ran a 17:30.6, finising in 45th
- Camden Staples ran a 19:13.4, finishing in 85th
- Logan Betke ran a 21:19.2, finsihing in 98th
As a team, the Cougars earned 191, to finish in 8th place.
In the Women's Race:
- Lauren Gores picked up a top 10 finsih with a time of 19:45.0, to finish in 9th place. The time was a new personal record for Gores.
Cleary did not earn a team score in the women's race.
