Women's Cross Country Places Two in Top 10; Men Take 8th

(Grand Rapids, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's cross country teams were in Grand Rapids Friday to run in the Raider-Knight Invite, hosted by Calvin College and Grand Rapids Community College.

In the Men's 8K Race:

Donovan White led the way with a time of 28:46.7, to finish in 46th place
Preston Mackenzie would finish in 54th after running 29:03.9
Running a 29:40.9 was Mason Wildie, who finished in 67th
Hunter Anderson would run a 29:55.0 to finish in 71st
Running a 30:33.7 was Camden Staples, who finished in 77th
Logan Betke ran a 34:10.3 to finish in 95th
Devin Mackenzie finished in 98th after running a 35:48.5

As a team, Cleary finished in 8th place with a team score of 201

In the Women's 5K Race:

McKenna Marsh would take a 4th place finish overall after running an 18:48.0 to lead Cleary
Lauren Gores ran a 19:27.9 to finish in 8th place

Cleary would not be able to earn a team score.

Cleary will be back in action next Friday, September 20, when they run in the Lansing Community College Invitational. The action gets underway at 12:30 PM.
