Men's Cross Country Take 7th at Lansing Invite; Women Place Two in Top-7

(Lansing, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's cross country teams were in Lansing, as they ran in the Lansing Community College Invitational at Grand Woods Park Friday afternoon.
In the Men's 8k Race:
- Ethan Beres led the Cougars with a 27:56.9 to finish in 23rd place overall
- Running a 29:21.2 was Donovan White, who finished in 51st
- Camden Staples would finish in 61st with a time of 29:44.4
- Finishing in 66th was Joel Hartleb, who ran a 30:11.9
- Mason Wildie ran a 30:16.3 to finish in 68th
- Preston McKenzie finished in 74th after running a 30:23.2
- Running a 31:04.4 was Hunter Anderson, who finished in 83rd
- Logan Betke ran a 34:42.8, and Devin McKenzie ran a 38:23.2
As a team, Cleary finished with a total time of 2:27:30, and finished in 7th place overall.
In the Women's 5K Race:
- McKenna Marsh claimed her second straight 3rd place overall finish after running a 19:33.5
- Lauren Gores wasn't too far behind, and ran a 20:01.9 to finish in 7th place
Cleary did not earn a team score in the women's race.
Cleary will be back in action next Friday, September 27, when they run in the Siena Heights Invitational in Adrian, Michigan. The action will get under way at 12:00 PM.
