Cougar Cross Country Runs at Siena Heights Invite; Women Place Two in Top Five

(Adrian, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's cross country teams were in Adrian Friday afternoon to run in the Siena Heights Invite, hosted by Siena Heights University.
In the Men's 8K Race:
- Donovan White ran a 27:48.70 and finished in 23rd to lead the Cougars
- Preston Mackenzie would finish in 30th after running a 28:19.70
- Hunter Anderson and Camden Staples finished in 51st and 52nd respectively, after running 29:41.20 and 29:48.60
- Finishing in 63rd was Ethan Beres, who ran a 30:28.20
- Running a 30:54.20 was Mason Wildie who finished in 67th
- Joel Hartleb ran a 31:30.70 and finished in 70th
- Logan Betke would run a 33:10.00, while Devin Mackenzie ran a 33:45.00
As a team, Cleary would earn 194 points, and finished in 8th place
In the Women's 6K Race:
- McKenna Marsh continued to run well, and earned her third consecutive top-3 finish after running a 23:28.70 and finishing in 2nd place
- Lauren Gores would not be too far behind, finishing in 5th place while running a 23:58.20
The women did not earn enough points to earn a team finish for the race.
The two teams will have a week off before returning to action on Saturday, October 12, when they run in the Jayhawk Cross Country Invite hosted by Muskegon Community College.
