Cross Country Runs in Deep Field at Muskegon Jayhawk Invite
(Muskegon, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's cross country teams were running near the shores of Lake Michigan, as they took part in the Muskegon Jayhawk Cross Country Invite, hosted by Muskegon Community College on Saturday.
In the Men's 8K Race:
- Ethan Beres led the Cougars with a 48th place finish after running a 27:01.08
- Donovan White would finish in 79th with a time of 27:34.98
- Running a 28:01.37 was Preston Mackenzie, who finished in 97th
- Hunter Anderson ran a 28:47.75 to finish in 114th
- Camden Staples and Mason Wildie ran a 28:57.31 and 28:57.44 respectively
- Logan Betke would run a 31:35.03
As a team, Cleary earned 290 points, and finished in 10th place overall
In the Women's 5K Race:
- McKenna Marsh ran a 18:46.17 to finish in 12th place overall
Cleary did not have enough runners to earn a team score in the women's race.
Cleary will have a week in before their next race, which will be Saturday, October 26. The Cougars will be in Grand Rapids to run in the NAIA/Great Lakes Challenge hosted by Aquinas College at 10:00 AM.
