Cross Country Runs at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge

(Grand Rapids, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar men's and women's cross country teams were in West Michigan Saturday for the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge, hosted by Aquinas College at Riverside Park.
In the Men's 8K Race:
- Donovan White led CU with a 47th place finish after running a 27:11.10
- Running a 28:18.90 was Ethan Beres, who finished in 102nd
- Preston Mackenzie ran a 28:25.70 to finish in 113rd
- Running a 29:16.40 was Camden Staples, who finished in 158th
- Joel Hartleb ran a 29:55.30 to finish in 178th
- Mason Wildie would run a 30:39.80, while Logan Betke ran a 32:38.80, and Devin Mackenzie ran a 34:05.00
As a team, Cleary earned 466 team points, and finished in 17th place
In the Women's 5K Race:
- McKenna Marsh ran a 19:27.20 to finish in 13th place
- Lauren Gores would finish in 17th place after running a 19:34.00
Cleary did not earn a team score in the race.
The Cougars will be back in action in two weeks, when they run in the WHAC Championships on Friday, November 8 at 3:00 PM.
