(Livonia, MI)-- The Cleary Cougars made the trip to Livonia to take on the nationally ranked Crusaders of Madonna University in a WHAC double-header that was originally scheduled from April 13.
In Game 1: Madonna scored six runs in the 1st, and five more in the 2nd, and held the Cougars to only two hits, as the Crusaders went on to win 14-0 in 5-innings. Cleary's Kate Currie and Izzy Easton each had one hit for the Cougars, while Allison Lesonsky suffered the loss pitching, as she allowed 11 R (7earned) on 9 hits in 1.1 innings pitched.
In Game 2: Madonna scored three runs in each the 1st and 3rd innings, while adding two more in the 5th to take the game 8-0 in 5-innings. Cleray's lone hit of the game came from Osheiauna Phifer. Sonya Terleckyj took the loss pitching, allowing 8 R (6 earned) on 12 hits in 4.2 innings pitched.
Cleary drops to 14-31, 3-14 in the WHAC, and will travel to Jenison High School to take on the Aquinas College Saints in a WHAC double-header on Wednesday, April 27. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
