(Williamsburg, KY)—The Cleary Cougar softball team is down in Kentucky this weekend competing in the Bear Creek Tournament hosted by the University of the Cumberlands. Due to weather, the Cougars only played one game today versus Taylor University.
Cleary fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 2-0 loss to Taylor on Friday. A single by Mckenzie Latshaw in the first inning was a positive start of the offense for Cleary.
Taylor took the lead on a single in the second inning that dropped into left field, scoring both runs on the play. Both pitchers went the distance, as neither team's offense was able to muster any real danger.
