(Lansing, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar women's basketball team faced one of the WHAC's top teams Friday evening, and the Cougars were held in check, as the visiting Siena Heights Saints dominated en route to an 87-37 defeat for the Cougars.
The Cougars offense found it difficult to score, as they were only able to score double-digit points in one quarter (3rd), while the Saints used efficient three point shooting and offensive rebounds to take control of the game from the opening tip.
Cleary's lone double-digit scorer was Taedom Stein, who scored a game-high 15 points to go with 7 rebounds. Amy Jackson added 3 threes to score 9 points, while Mileisha Rodriguez added 6 points and and a game high 8 rebounds.
Cleary drops to 0-7 overall, 0-4 in the WHAC. The Cougars will play their first of three straight road games on Wednesday, December 6, when they travel to Spring Arbor to take on the Cougars in a non-conference matchup. The game is set to start at 6:00 PM.
