Cougars Suffer WHAC Defeat to Indiana Tech

(Fort Wayne, IN)-- It was a difficult day for the Cleary Cougar women's lacrosse team, as they suffered a road WHAC defeat to the Indiana Tech Warriors in Fort Wayne, Indiana Saturday morning.

The host Warriors jumped on the Cougars from their opening possession, and never looked back, as they went on to score eleven goals in the first quarter.  Indiana Tech would add three more goals in each the second and third quarters, and four more in the final quarter to win 21-0.

Cleary was held scoreless in the game, but were able to get eight shots on goal.  Mallory Tognetti and Alana Harrison each had three shots on goal to lead the Cougars.  In net, Kennedy Stilson made 11 saves while suffering the defeat. 

Cleary drops to 1-5 overall, 0-3 in WHAC play.  Cleary will host the Aquinas College Saints on Wednesday, March 30 at Lake Trust Stadium.  The game is also a "White Out' game, where fans are encouraged to wear all white.  The game also features a rally towel giveaway for the first 50 fans in attendance.  The game is scheduled to start at 6:00 PM.
