(Grand Rapids, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar women's soccer team faced one of their toughest challenges to date this season, as they took on the #7 ranked Aquinas College Saints in Grand Rapids Saturday afternoon.
The game was all Aquinas from the opening kickoff, as the Saints scored three goals in the first half, and added another three in the second half, to take the game by a 6-0 scoreline.
Aquinas held an advantage in every major statistical category except saves, where Cleary goalie Tara McGrath led the day with 18 saves in the game on 24 shots faced. Aquinas had 7 corner kicks to Cleary's 0.
Cleary drops to 2-14 overall, 0-9 in the WHAC. The Cougars will be back at Lake Trust Stadium on Wednesday, October 25, when they welcome the Lourdes Gray Wolves. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM ET.
