WHAC Announces Women's Soccer Awards
(Howell, MI)-- The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced it's 2024 season awards, and multiple Cougars have been recognized.
Highlighting the award season for Cleary was Mariah Krone, who became the first women's soccer player since Cleary joined the WHAC to be named to the All-Conference teams (1st or 2nd teams*). Krone, a redshirt senior from Gaylord, Michigan, led the Cleary offense with 6 goals and 6 assists, both team-highs.
Also recognized was freshman Evalyn Cole, who was named to the Newcomer Team. Cole scored 2 goals and added 2 assists while starting all 18 games played this season.
Captain Alyssa Krenek was also named to the Champion of Character team, for best representing the five core character values of the NAIA.
Also recognized were student-athletes who were named to the All-Academic Team. To be honored, student-athletes must have had at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA and have attended Cleary for at least one full year. They were (in alphabetical order):
