Wes Smith Cougar Spotlight

(Howell, MI)-- This week's Cougar Spotlight has the distinction for having the most goals scored in the Cleary Men’s Hockey program history, #6 Wes Smith.

Wes entered his freshmen season during the 2019/20 after having grown up and playing within shouting distance of the CU campus. As a Cougar, Wes scored 10 goals in 29 games during the 19/20 campaign and followed it up with 4 goals scored in 11 games last season. Having made the switch from forward to defense towards the end of last season, Wes will be a top defensemen coming into next year. Coach Ronayne will be counting on him to provide an offensive boost while patrolling the blue line.
