Bio

Nick Hoogerhyde was named Associate Head Baseball Coach on Thursday, March 25, 2023, and on August 5, 2024, was named the athletic department's Operations Coordinator.

Hoogerhyde will work and help oversee the athletic department's budgets, team travel & transportation, overseeing student workers, and various other gameday responsibilities.  He joins the Athletic Department after spending multiple years in the Cleary admissions office. 

Hoogerhyde will also continue his role as Associate Head Coach for the Cleary baseball team.  Prior to his announcement as Associate Head Coach, Hoogerhyde was the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator beginning in the Summer of 2020. Hoogerhyde formerly was a Graduate Assistant with baseball from 2018-2020 where he was in charge of hitters, catchers and also served as 3rd base coach. He also coached at MSA-Livingston for the past 4 years. Hoogerhyde is a former Cleary Cougar who played 4 years and was an All-American catcher in 2017.  Hoogerhyde has been a part of every Cleary baseball team to date.

Hoogerhyde, a Beal City, Mich. native, holds two degrees from Cleary including a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and a Master's Degree in Global Leadership.
