Sonya Terleckyj Cougar Spotlight

(Howell, MI)-- Cleary University softball pitcher Sonya Terleckyj is being recognized in this week's Cougar Spotlight.

Terleckyj, a junior from Gibraltar, Michigan, threw her 8th complete game of the season in a 2-0 loss to Indiana Tech Sunday afternoon.  In the game, Terleckyj struck out 8 Warriors while only walking 2, and allowed 2 runs on 7 hits.  She also recently eclipsed 100 strikeouts for her career during Cleary's trip to Florida.  She holds a 4-6 record and a 3.77 ERA so far this season.

Terleckyj and the rest of Cleary softball will be play three double-headers this week, the next will be vs. UM-Dearborn at Lake Trust Stadium on Wednesday, March 29.  First pitch of game one is set for 3:30 PM.
