49 Cleary Student-Athletes Named 2025 Daktronics NAIA Spring Scholar-Athletes

(Howell, MI)-- Cleary University is proud to announce that 49 of its winter sport student-athletes have earned recognition from the NAIA, and have been named 2024-25 Daktronics NAIA Winter Sport Scholar-Athletes.
This honor recognizes student-athletes in each of the spring sports who have excelled academically, including baseball, men's golf, women's golf, men's track & field, women's track & field, and softball.
To qualify as a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have attended their institution for at least one full year. This year, the list features an impressive number of student-athletes who have met these rigorous standards.
Baseball had 17 student-athletes receive the honor: Seniors Tim Barno, Parker Davis, Brody Fay, Peter Houston, Gavin Kempainen, Josh Lucier, Kevin Ramsey, Nate Raniszewski, Jacob Savina, Joey Underwood, and Jack Westerhoff, juniors Kyler Castle, Ryan Lieng, and sophomores Ryan Davis, Zach Marsee, Joseph Miller, and Chase Palmer
Men's Golf had 5 student-athletes receive the honor: Senior Justin Reddy, juniors Garrett Earegood, Johnny Fackler, Basile Malempre, and sophomore Kaden Patterson
Women's Golf had 5 student-athletes receive the honor: Seniors Maryann Montgomery, Alexis Sharplin, and Madeline Swett, juniors Jana L'Esperance and Emma Smith
Men's Track & Field had 7 student-athletes receive the honor: Seniors Matt Booth, Joel Hartleb, and Camden Staples, juniors Christian Hammond and Devin Mackenzie, and sophomores Hunter Blackhurst and Jacob Haley
Women's Track & Field had 1 student-athlete receive the honor: Senior Lauren Gores
Softball had 14 student-athletes receive the honor: Seniors Gabrielle Monreal, Grace Pasterik, Mia Rzepka, and Jenna Wagenschutz, juniors Maddie Bunkoske, Halle Dargie, Mckenzie Latshaw, Haley Ludwig, and Ashleigh Tatara, and sophomores Sierra Diegel, Grace MacCaughan, Ashland Particka, Ashlyn Witt, and Courtney Witten
