Bio
Kirk Keebler is an accomplished and highly dedicated Track & Field Coach with 12 years of coaching experience specializing in the throwing events: shot put, discus, and hammer throw.
Coach Keebler has served as the Throwing Coach at Dexter High School since 2015. In this role, he has been responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive training programs that have significantly improved athlete performance. Under his guidance, the program has achieved significant highlights, including developing 6 state qualifiers, guiding athletes to 3 school records set, and producing 6 conference champions (17 top 3 finishers) and 2 regional champions.
A Division I collegiate alumnus, Coach Keebler studied Construction Management, and was a member of the Eastern Michigan University Men's Track & Field Program. While competing in the Hammer, Weight, Shot Put, and Discus, he earned the distinction of Conference Runner-up in the Hammer Throw.
Coach Keebler's philosophy centers on a deep focus on biomechanics analysis, strength and conditioning, and mental preparedness. He fosters a positive environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic success. He maintains his commitment to the sport through current memberships with the Michigan Interscholastic Track Coaches Association (MITCA) and USATF.
