(Lansing, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar women's basketball team opened WHAC play with a home game against the nationally ranked Indiana Tech Warriors Saturday afternoon, and the Cougars would drop the game 88-45.
The Warriors would use perimeter shooting to take the lead and held a 47-20 lead at the half. Cleary would see the offense perform better in the second half, but it was too much to overcome, as the game would end 88-45.
Taedom Stein led Cleary with 13 points, while Samantha Hoelscher added 10 points. Mileisha Rodriguez had 8 points and a game high 10 rebounds.
Cleary drops to 1-6 overall, 0-1 in the WHAC. The Cougars will be back at home on Tuesday, November 26, when they host the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils at Gannon Gymnasium for a WHAC contest. The game will start at 5:30 PM.
