(Adrian, MI)-- The Cleary Cougar women's soccer team played their final game of the season Saturday evening in Adrian, as they took on the host Siena Heights Saints.
The Saints would score the only goal of the game in the 20th minute, as they were able to strike from distance and got the ball past goalie Tara McGrath. The Saints controlled the rest of the game, but the Cougars defense held strong and prevented a second goal to be scored. Unfortunately for the Cougars, their offense was unable to truly generate the chance they needed, as the hosts held on to win by a 1-0 scoreline.
Tara McGrath suffered the loss in goal, as she allowed 1 goal while making 10 saves. Juliana Caro made 3 saves in just over 22 minutes of action. Cleary was outshot 22-3, and the Saints also held the advantage on corner kicks by a 6-1 margin.
Cleary finishes the season at 3-12, 1-10 in the WHAC.
